Saudi Gazette reported on February 21 that it was the fifth day of the 10-day Dhahran Expo in Dhahran, a city at the east of Saudi Arabia, but there were still very few customers.
Exhibitors from many countries have claimed that they won’t be able to cover their costs when the expo is closed, and the rent of 900 Riyal per square meter impose more on their burden, which is already too heavy.
Two reasons might explain the depressing air over the expo. One is the low consumption demand and the other is ineffective advertising of the organizer.
It is said about one third of the booths are rented by Chinese exhibitors, who are very disappointed about this Dhahran Expo.
