In 2009, Changsha organized 505 exhibition activities and received 820 million RMB in return. Changsha Bureau of Statistics revealed in a report published yesterday that the exhibition industry is becoming another drive for the city's economic growth. The large number of national exhibitions in Changsha has injected much power into its market. It is estimated that exhibitions generated a total of 7.41 bn Yuan through transportation, catering & hotels, entertainment, tourism and other industries related.

　　This year, 16 national exhibitions have so far been confirmed to land in Changsha, including the International Weighing Expo, the Teaching Instrument Show, China International Exhibition for the Grain and Oil Products Equipment and Technology, and National High Educational Instruments and Equipment Exhibition.
